There are so many day camps for kids to attend on Long Island. Day camps for kids provides a place of enjoyment, hanging out with friends and experiencing new activities and above all else a safe place for children to be. Camp W “Where Friendships Are Made” in Melville, Long Island is one of the premiere day camps for kids. A place where the camper to staff ratio is 3:1. At Camp W campers pick their afternoon electives. Camp W also has team building exercises daily for communication and interaction among children. New activities are designed and scheduled every summer at Camp W. Day camps for kids have so many traditions and at Camp W one of the traditions are Group Performance Skits. These skits are themed based and groups practice during the week and then performed in front of the entire camp on Friday afternoons. New themed skits every summer provide campers with the tradition but also something new to so campers don’t get bored.

Day camps for kids all have special activities and a calendar to display these activities. Camp W’s special activities are endless with usually two or three a day. These activities are constantly changing from summer to summer so campers are always surprised or enthused about doing something different.

Day Camps for kids usually have Color War as an end of the summer tradition. Camp W does has Color War week 7 and every summer different events are played so they enjoy the tradition but partake in new activities so it stays fresh.

With so many day camps for kids to choose it’s no wonder why children and parents spend a lot of time selecting the right day camp and I am so glad many people in Western Suffolk County have chosen Camp W.
